Active Hope for Evolving Youngers, Olders, and Elders

The World is on fire and we have the opportunity to step into the adventure of our lives, to link arms with others across difference and age and together co-create the world we want.

Our first step is to find Active Hope: to be able to face the heartbreak of our times with compassion for ourselves and others, and then to connect and find our courage and creativity for what lies ahead. This interactive live webinar course is based on the book,  Active Hope – How to Face the Mess We’re in without Going Crazy, by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone

“Active Hope is a readiness to discover the strengths
in ourselves and in others;
a readiness to discover the reasons for hope
and the occasions for love.
A readiness to discover the size and strength of our hearts,
our quickness of mind, our steadiness of purpose,
our own authority, our love for life,
the liveliness of our curiosity,
the unsuspected deep well of patience and diligence,
the keenness of our senses, and our capacity to lead.
None of these can be discovered in an armchair or without risk.”

Joanna Macy & Chris Johnstone, Active Hope

The Webinar has six highly interactive sessions using the Work That Reconnects practices. We will deeply listen to each other in small and large groups, grapple with hard questions, learn from each other’s stories and inspire each other in our work for the world.

In between webinars, there are readings and meetings with a partner.
